The Steam Community keeps changing the language to Swedish.

Help. Every time I visit the steam community, it's in Swedish. It's not hard to change back to English, but it's odd that it just started doing that out of the blue.

Is this an error on my side, or has this happened to other people and it turned out to be Steam's fault?

Visiting http://steamcommunity.com/?l=english fixed it, but it later reverted back to Swedish again.

I've had it happen when I visited a Russian player's profile page with the in-game browser. My Steam kept reverting to Russian for a couple of days afterward, then just suddenly stopped on its own.

Since Glitch never came back and told us that it's still happening for him, it's safe to assume the problem fixed itself. It's also safe to assume you'll be as lucky as him.

It was in the Store.steampowered.com, however it is possible to change the language in the top left hand corner by clicking account, selecting the last option (which is change language), then choose your language. I'm not sure if it works if you are not logged into a account.

If it gives comfort, I'm currently stuck in French.

I don't want French. I can't even English good half of the time.

If you click on a Steam link someone posted that leads to a French translation of Steam, that will be what you see until you switch back to another language.

This has happened for me as well.
In browser its fine, but when I'm using the actual steam program and try to look at the community or my profile it shows up in a foreign language. :L

this has been happening to me for over a year. I change the language it picks one at random and switches on its own sometime in the next week. it really is getting so annoying that i just don't use the steam website now unless i absolutely have to. I go through every possible alternative I can first. if I am in the steam browser though its fine.
