Steam Download Queue HELP

OK, im not sure if this is only happening to me, but i find that when i leave multiple game sto download overnight (in the order that i want them to download them in), the order changes.

Example: I want to download the update for Starbound, then download Borderlands 2 next, and then finally Portal and Portal 2. When i wake up in the morning, Starbound has not updated, Borderlands has not downloaded and instead Portal 2 has started downloading, and my queue order has changed.

NOTE: the Starbound update had started, but only downloaded a few megabytes, before the same happened to Borderlands, but then continued to Portal 2 (completely skipping Portal in general).

Does anyone know how to stop steam from rearranging my queue order? This is getting quite frustrating.

it happpens to me to so im guessing it just if you have multiple iteams it just trys to download them at the same time

I dont know. I mean, only one game downloads at a time, not multiple at the same time, but ive found that it will start one game, stop, then continue to another. I hope theres an update that fixes this or something relatively soon.

This problem is killing me as I am temporarily on a slow connection and will spend two days downloading one game and Steam will SWITCH TO ANOTHER DOWNLOAD when I play a game or for no reason some times. This is super frustrating when you cannot play a game you paid for in the weekend you put aside to play it. It took me many days to finish downloading Call of Juarez Gunslinger, even though I should have been able to finish it in 12 hours because the client kept queuing up other games. Hire me Steam, I'll fix this problem.

This is the same problem i am having. I rarely get over 100 kb/s download speed, and often takes me days to download a 5gb game. I have purchased about 6 games from the steam sale, god knows how long its going to take to download...
