Question

I know that Steam games drop trading cards as we play them. The total number of card drops we can get is equal to half of the total cards available for that game. Also, I understand that trading cards usually start dropping after 2 hours of gameplay to prevent abuse of the refund system.

That used to be the case for me, but recently, I’ve noticed that I’m getting trading card drops within just 5–10 minutes of playing a game.

Is this a new change on Steam?

For context, I’ve never refunded any game and currently own around 50+ games. I wasn’t planning on refunding this particular game, but now I’m curious—if I do refund it after receiving cards within 10 minutes, will those cards be removed from my inventory?

I have deleted and installed the steam application many times, but it has not improved, almost nothing is loaded in the application, the images and the main photos of most games when browsing the store are not there, as well as black and black screen and comes back in a moment, what should I do

Nothing new, no.

Drops can happen from the moment you start the game all the way to hours of play time for the first drop.

Cards are yours even if you refund the game.

what if i get all the card drops and then refund it and then purchase it again. Will i get more drops then?

also btw can anyone tell me how to get foil card? Man they’re worth about $2 dang
