Yes you need the dashes, no i don't think caps matters.

CDKeys is known to sell used keys. If this is the case ask them for a refund, if the try to waste your time do a charge back.

Next time use an authorized reseller https://isthereanydeal.com/

Not the best choice, but ok.

Only Steam can determine that.

No. No.

I'm confused with the key format you're typing here - is that two codes or one? Could you retype the key format the site displays?

In addition to that, you're clear it was a Steam key you purchased?

Depends what you actually see/were doing but 5-5-5 is one of the valid formats, so try that part.
Hey there

If your Steam key isn't working, here are a few things to check:

Format & Input Issues:

Steam keys usually follow a 5-5-5 format (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX).
If your key format is different (e.g., 3-2-2), it might not be a valid Steam key.
Dashes (-) are usually required, but if Steam rejects them, try entering the key without dashes.
Caps Lock doesn’t matter, Steam keys are not case-sensitive.
Where to Redeem the Key:

Open Steam → Games → Activate a Product on Steam and enter your key there.
Avoid using third-party key checkers or entering it in the wrong section.
Check for Typos:

Some letters/numbers can be confusing (e.g., 0 and O, I and 1). Double-check your input.
Key Already Used?

If the key has already been redeemed, it won’t work again.
Check Steam Library to see if the game is already there.
Contact CDKeys Support:

If the key is invalid and you’re sure you bought it from CDKeys, contact their support for help.
Sometimes resellers provide region-locked or incorrect keys.
Let me know if you need more help
