Using single joystick/gamepad/azeron combined with mouse
I've been using the Azeron gamepad for a while now and it has improved my gaming experience significantly. But there is one constant issue that I'm dealing with that happens every time I start up a new game. It seems to be completely random how easy my experience is setting up the Azeron with a new game.

As far as I understand, games come with native support for controllers/gamepads, some with better support than others. There is also the Steam "xinput" support that can either be enabled or disabled. The third bit of software is the Azeron itself, where keys can be individually mapped. All of this combined software can either be easily integrated, or be a nightmare to work with.

Some games like Cyberpunk 2077 are easily set up, with a couple of caveats. The main issue at hand is whether or not the game will automatically disable kb/m when it detects input from a controller/gamepad. This is the main issue with RE Village. As soon as I use the joystick on the Azeron, the mouse is disabled so I can't use it to look around. Cyberpunk doesn't have this problem, but it does display xbox controls if it detects the gamepad in use, and kb/m if it's picking up mouse input, and this will switch back and forth constantly. It's not game-breaking but a bit annoying. I've also found that a couple of controls like crouch and dash cannot work together if both the gamepad and mouse are used simultaneously, so i just mapped those two keys to the mouse, and the rest is perfect.

Switching to the Steam software on either game requires that I attempt to map the gamepad joystick to something that will integrate it to kb/m controls. This is where I'm stuck.

So my question is, and I may be missing a very easy fix for this, how do I stop games from automatically disabling one set of controls when it detects the other in use? When I use the Azeron, some games think I'm using an xbox controller and just shut off kb/m completely. Is there an easy way to stop games from doing this?

Usually for such games it is possible to go into game Settings and disable constroller

That will likely disable the gamepad, as the game is treating it as a controller.

I have the same problem trying to play mh wilds.Using the analog stick as analog stick option works for a while as it wont change back btw controller and keyboard. But after sometime it doesn't register the analog stick at all.
