Rip packet loss for router?
I am currently using [TP-Link Archer C6 AC1200 1200mbps MU-MIMO Gigabit Router]. My router supports 1200mbps but my broadband connection is only 5mbps. I play cs2, my ping mostly 55ms but I always face packet loss 22%-35%. It is because I am using only 5mbps on 1200mbps router? It it because my router can't work properly due to low mbps? Why facing packet loss?

No, the low connection speed does not cause packet loss. Seems you have a low quality connection and need to talk with your ISP because any packet loss over 1% is absolutely unacceptable.

I've had same pings on a 1/2 mb connection as I do on a 500mb connection. Hell I even had 5 friends over and we all played CS 1.6 on that 1/2 mb connection. Your speed is not the issue.

Are you connected to the router by wifi or ethernet? if wifi that'll be your issue

Throughput speed shouldn't affect ping/packet loss.

Are you connected to the router by LAN cable or wireless?

If wireless then test it with a LAN cable. If the packet loss comes down, then wifi is your problem.

Not necessarily because of the router. An AC1200 MU-MIMO router should be able to deliver wifi performance as good as a cable in optimal conditions, but only if the wireless adapter in your PC is also AC/MU-MIMO compliant.

what should I tell them? they don't understand packet loss

Then find a proper ISP as that is a basic networking term. When someone doesn't know what packet loss is and their whole business is networking, that's a clear sign to cancel the contract and go somewhere else.

And talk with them or see what they can offer.

and tell them why you change, so they dont make same mistake not test connection in the first place, also can be seen as maybe its your equipement that do it. ( again dont forget its not a isp problem to help you at your equipment, some do this as border service edge there at wallplug or to its ISP router/modem if they provide such.

Just like Cathulhu point out how can they not know what bad packets is.
its basic education in network. ( you dont need to explan anything or how you should ask them

Look like a bad day for a IT support, or call them again, and ask to escalate the case if you have such option, if you are happy with bandwide and cost for current ISP.

Don't be rude see it as business deal, best advice i can give.
just because you change ISP dont mean your traffic dont go though them you just left.
this is why dont be rude , no need for it.

Problem with ISP is you might dont want to use them , things dont work like that, all ISP in the world has to work together or there will not be a World Wide Web = www,

and its here Cathulhu is spot on, how can they not know, even pretend not to know or give customer chance to explan, then you dont need to explan anything, same i dont tell a baker how to make bread. ( and that my point many in the world know abit, that not same as you know or is educated ) or read a book about it , you know what i mean. noone i know will tell a bakery in how to do, are you kidding us here. ( if joke is not allowed on steam it should be now. )
and i bet you get it now, Most be a bad for that tech dude you talk with.
and you should call trhem again and give then last chance. if you are happy with cost on the line.
and maybe you have so many choise, and should move on to cheaper and better service.
