Losing Elo even on win
I wanted to bring this to the attention to everyone. I was playing ranked like I normally do and I won my match and performed great but I lost elo even though I won. I sent in a ticket and there response basically stated that if I was in a party with someone and played rank that got vac banned my elo gets readjusted for that aka elo loss. So be careful who you play ranked with I guess, I still don't know what friend I played with that was cheating.

Note that your rank is not immediately reflected by a single win or loss. The tiers have overlapping ELO scales. This is so you’re not constantly bouncing between tiers due to a single win or loss. It would be silly to be going from silver to gold then back to silver in the span of 2 games. So the system will average out your games and then move you up pr down once you spend enough time in a specific relegation or promotion overlap

You “winning” a game isn’t relevant because your previous losses already dropped you to the lower tier. It was simply reflected once you completed the match you won in.
