Show who gifted profile award?

I gifted someone a profile award. Can he see who gifted it? The profile award is already in his profile but it doesn't say "from XYZ" when I hover over it.

What does it look like on his side? Does it say "anonymous steam award"?

You just get a email with the awards listed you got for what, but not from who.

But I sent him the profile award directly through his profile, I didn't award a comment or something like that. The yellow award button next to the add as a friend button.

That doesn't matter.

You can not see who awarded your profile.

He still will only get that email. It gets send out each day at the same time and shows all awards you got in the last 24 hours.
On the profile it will show nothing but the icon, no date, nor from who you got it.

The best thing would be something like a greeting card or steam gift but with awards. So I could write something like "for the best noob from druppi".
