do you need to have "Call of Duty" installed to play Modern warfare 3?
i just recently purchased the new modern warfare 3, but it is not showing up in my steam library, however when i go to the store page it shows that modern warfare 3 IS in my library, and has the button to click to play in the open beta. but when i click that button, it tries to start the download for "Call of Duty", as in the original CoD

any ideas?

"Call of Duty®" is what it's named in your library.

You need Warzone installed. It launches the Unified Launcher which is conveniently named, "Call of Duty HQ."

In that, you can select the MWIII beta.

Warzone is at least 73GB and the MWII beta is an additional 20+GB.
