screen turning off when full screen

i need help, whenever i go into a game on steam and make it full screen my monitor turns off. Its only on steam it does it i can play on any other platforms and it wont do it

Additionally, please do the following:
Open the Steam client, click Help in the top menu bar, then System Information.

Copy ALL text and post it here.

Also and especially if using a dual-monitor setup, check Windows' Power/Sleep settings for your display(s).

What your system specs?

Are you using multiple displays?

What cable connectors are you using to each display?

Is there any special settings to your monitor to act weird?

Did you mess with window power settings for display,?

It's important to get more information to understand better, or all you're going to get is guesses what might be your problem.
