Controller messes with games when turned off
I've done so much research and i cannot find anything about this, any help would be massively appreciated, i've recently gotten a controller it's called a VooFun controller it works fine despite being detected as a switch pro controller even though it isn't but it is wireless and i tend to leave in the dongle even when the controller is turned off so i don't have to pull my PC out every time however when opening a game sometimes the steam thinks the controller is still on and will mess with the game interface spamming random buttons and flicking around the screen, this will continue until i pull out the dongle, i've looked everywhere for anyway to disable the controller inputs while playing a game but until i pull out the dongle the game will glitch and spam everything as if the controller is turned on even though it's just the dongle left in. is there anyway known way to stop all controller inputs for a certain amount of time then i can turn it on when i'm ready to use it again?

HidHide can be used to hide devices from software/the system etc. but there may be other solutions.
HidHide info: https://github.com/nefarius/HidHide#readme
HidHide downloads: https://github.com/nefarius/HidHide/releases

Check the back of the controller, is there a product number?

When you experienced the spammed inputs, was that for Steam games, non-Steam games or both?

I was only trying it with steam games mainly for side scrolling games, i then went to minion masters with it turned off and the dongle still in and the game freaked out but yeah the serial number, or in this case product number it's A90802 i'm not sure if that means anything i'm not really a super tech savvy but any help is heavily appreciated

I checked hidhide, it's saying i must find the exe for the controller, i never had any sort of installed software for it, there's nothing to click on

Are you looking at the 'Applications' tab? You won't need to do anything there. By default, it means the controller will be hidden from anything not listed there when the hide is enabled.
Switch to the 'Devices' tab and see if the controller created by the dongle is listed. Then you'd select it and 'Enable device hiding'.
Any running application would have to be reset for the hide to apply to it, so before you do the hide, see how Steam itself detects/reacts to the dongle (controller powered off):

Steam > Settings > Controller > (if Steam is detecting the dongle) Begin Test

Is the test screen showing any reaction?
Steam is showing the dongle as a Pro Controller?

(I'm thinking turning on or off Steam Input for Switch Pro controllers will be a solution but it depends on stuff, like if and how closely the dongle spoofs a pro controller, if Steam is reading inputs from the dongle or not...)

It detects it as a pro controller yes, if i begin test it shows me an Xbox controller with no buttons being pressed, no stick drift or anything, so it's not that, also I've disabled steam input for almost every game which i do not intend to use the controller for but the moment i open it the game goes haywire rapidly switching between menus and clicking on everything immediately this has led to multiple games having gone into their options and muddled everything up, my only solution has been to pull out the dongle each time i wanna play a game without the controller which overtime is bound to damage the PC and dongle
