Headset Compatibility With VR Games

I recently bought the Vive XR Elite but I already had a problem with Skyrim being compatible with my controllers and launching the game. I felt lucky I got a refund and don't want to push my luck with trial and error with any game I would like to buy. I haven't seen any stats on any games that include anything else much but Xbot controllers. Trial and error can't be the only way is it?

I suggest you ask in the dedicated VR area as those that use VR are much more likely to be able to help
