Activation problem of Ubisoft games purchased in Steam and subsequent refund
I have made a purchase of “Assassin's Creed Black Flag - Gold Edition” in Steam against Invoice: 226965755928768764, dtd 14/12/2024, but I failed to activate the key in my Ubisoft Account (It actually got automatically activated it into my sons’ old Ubisoft Account which was somehow linked with my Steam Account).
I requested a refund and received the same. Subsequently I unlinked the redundant Ubisoft Account with my Steam Account and attempted a purchase of the same title in Steam against a fresh Invoice: 226965755930952167, dtd 15/12/2024.

This time I received the same old Activation Key and again which failed to activate the product, with Ubisoft saying “Key already activated”. As my present purchase is a fresh one a fresh key should have been issued to me but I was issued the old key and I had to come back for refund again (Ref. Ticket: HT-GB9F-6M6Q-K89F).
I have contacted Ubisoft support and they rightly pointed out to take this issue with Steam. However, Steam had not made any reply on the issue and my refund had not yet been approved.
Please advice.

Doesn't work like that. You won't get new key on Steam just because you've refunded old one. This particular key is now locked to your account and is associated to your license of AC Black Flag.

You need to wait for Support response.
