Problems with "Email Preference Settings"
So i am german so my translations from my client might be not correct but let´s see if i can make my point.

So there are "Email Preference Settings" under account details, where i can configure which marketing email i like to get. I always deactivated it complete (mark the last poitn so everything above is disabled/grayed out) so i get no marketing email at all. But after a while, after 1-3 days, it gets to default (everything enabled/blue) again.
I had this problem years ago after an update. Steam couldn´t help and gave me the feeling it is my fault. But after another update it works again. Since maybe 2 month ago where it again change my settings to default over and over again. Steam support again seems to have no clue.

So has anybody the same problems with these settings (and really ONLY this, every other settings kept my configurations) and/or can give me a possible solution?

I was thinking if there is a possibility to block the client from updating so i can see if it is because of maybe little fixes in the client software i don´t notice.
Thanks in advance for any helpful comment.

There is nothing specific about my site and it is not different from yours. Just click on "disable all" or "enable all" than you know what the site looks like. So why do they need my screenshot. Yes i could provide it but why should i.
Because they are trying to help you troubleshoot the problem. Perhaps there's a bug they need to investigate and having a screenshot sometimes helps. You went to them for help. That's what they're doing.

Thanks for your answer but sorry you don´t know these settings? Look at the site and then tell me again (no you don´t need to just saying) what the purpose could be.
When your light in your room always goes out and the switch is on then there is no need to send a photo of the switch when it is on or either off. That doesn´t explains while the lights went out.
By the way, a little thing to think about. Don´t to everything anybody wants you to do because everybody else would do it or because YOU think it is not a big deal.
You can do what you will but i will not. But enough of that ;)

I will delete this part in my ot because to many people will then explain me what i have to do (even it makes no sense at all) and not helping in my request.

So thanks again.

Are you using any program to clear cookies?

I ask because whether i opt in or opt out the setting remains.

Are you using the standard client or beta client? Note I am always on the beta.

I use the standard client. Clearing cookies? Yes when i use ccleaner but the settings get resetted in the client also when i don´t use ccleaner at all. And as a browser i use firefox where the cookies will get deleted after ending firefox session. Just saying but i think this shouldn´t have influenze on the steam client.
And again when i configure the email settings it get saved and it also stays even when i restart the client oe even windows. But after a while, sometimes 1-2 days or maybe after a few hours it is suddenly is on default (all enabled) again. I will only notice it when i suddenly get an email from steam, then i check the settings and it is resetted. And it happens not different if the client is open or restarted or even windows is restarted. Something i don´t know happens that gets ONLY these settings resetted.
Saturday i disabled all and then i played different games and after maybe 5-6 hours i get an email, i checked the settings and my settings were gone again. I have done nothing and on my system there is no extra software, besides of course minimal self configured windows software, that somehow does something automatic.

Do not use ccleaner for now and switch to the Steam Client beta and see if that fixes the issue. (Note: I do not use ccleaner and use the the Steam Client beta. No issues).

Steam > Settings > Interface > Client Beta Participation

OK but as i said it happens also when i don´t use ccleaner and nothing gets done automatically.
But ok i will give the beta it a try. I hope it is stable enough so i don´t get other problems because of the beta.
Let´see ;)
