Also, you can turn off ignored games from being listed as well if you associate with your steam account there. Use the filters on the right.
I have ignored the entire publisher, why am I still seeing their banner?
Also I shouldn’t be forced to shop from a different place just to not get confronted with a banner I don’t like. It should be possible to just turn it off.
The main store page is for everyone, it is not personalised. The only variation is if products are not available in your region.
Of course it is personalised. Steam is advertising games based on your preferences in the showcase below the banner.
Also it’s my computer and not some public advertising space, and I don’t like seeing Bandai Scamco propaganda being displayed on my main store page. Plus, Valve is wasting my hard disk space by storing this banner on my PC.
The main store page is not when it comes to promotions hence why you see the banner.
Uninstall Steam or use small mode.
As for Bandai Namco you have all 4 Dark Souls games published by Bandai Namco.
I have ignored the publisher so I shouldn’t see any of their promotions.
And Small mode doesn’t work for the store page or anytime I’m using a browser to access the Store even despite my adblocker being turned on.
You're right , it is your computer and if you don't like it, use YOUR computer to navigate to a different website.
No, the Bandai Scamco propaganda should navigate out from my store page and view.
As already stated:
The main store page is not when it comes to promotions hence why you see the banner.
And yet you did not ignore all 4 Dark Souls games published by Bandai Namco which you added to your library. We can also add Elden Ring, Scarlet Nexus, Code Vein etc to that list of Bandai Namco published games in your library, which is odd since you ignore Bandai Namco yet give them income.
Of course it does not work but you will not have to see the Bandai Namco banner.
You should stop replying if you don’t have anything constructive to say except of trolling.
I have changed my mind about the company so it doesn’t really matter what games I have bought previously. Most of the Bandai Scamco games I own came bundled with other games from sites like Humble or Fanatical so I didn’t actively buy them.
If I block a certain publisher, it shouldn’t show up on my front store page. If one can block ads on youtube, it should also be possible to block such ads on Steam.
Your only option, learn to ignore what you don't want (just like when you enter a brickstore). Why are you lingering on the top of the storepage, scroll down or use the search/links there are to get away from it.
I don't get why this is such a big deal.
Blocking ads on YT is against their TOS, not a feature they condone or deliver, unless your buy premium.
Yea, I have youtube premium for that reason.
And you can’t compare Steam shop to a physical store. A physical store doesn’t ‘recommend you products based on what you have bought/used before’. Online shops are personalised. Also, as mentioned before, Valve stores this banner on my PC which takes up free space on my disk, and that’s something I don’t want because my device has very limited hard drive space.
The banner is not stored on your PC locally. It is all a web page.
