Steam games can't move between disks after Steam forces them to move to a disk (Linux Mint)
TL;DR- I accidentally told Steam to move way more games than I wanted to move, but when I tried to cancel that and move only the games I wanted to move, Steam just forced all those other games to move anyway. Now whenever I try to move any of those games to a different drive I get a "disk write error." Help!!

Now for the detailed account...

I have just gotten a new, faster SSD and originally I was just gonna put multiplayer games on it, and after successfully moving all my multiplayer games to it, I decide I want to give my newer games to my new SSD, my older games to my slower SSD and the scraps to my giganto external HDD. To count up how much space they take, I go to the storage tab in settings and check off every retro game in my hard drive as that tells you how many games you checked off and how much space they take up all together.

A bit later, forgetting what I had done I check off some newer games left in my old SSD to move to my new one, and click "move." Immediately I notice some older games start moving to the new SSD and cancel the procedure, but not before some tens-of-megabytes (if that) retro games slip through. I decide to instead re-check off the newer games in my old SSD I actually want to move and only move those, but none of them actually move- Steam just gives me an error message that the games are "busy." I then notice, through my downloads tab, all the games I "told" Steam to move and then cancelled are moving again, except this time without a window informing me of the progress and giving me a convenient "cancel" button. I decide all I can do is wait for the process to finish, slowly checking off more and more retro games that move to my new SSD, as well as a few that were already in there. As soon as Im super duper sure the operation is 100% done (though there really was no way to tell without a progress bar window,) I tell all the games I checked off to move to the old SSD. Except none of them did. All of them give me a "disk write error."

I restart my computer but it's the same. I move games individually but it's the same. I clear my download cache but it's the same. I repair each and every Steam Library through Steam itself but it's the same. There are two other things to note here, though- the games still work fine when i try to play them, and I can move games that weren't part of the cancelled move.

Is there any way I can move these games again, or do I have to painstakingly uninstall and reinstall them all?

(Take a shot every time I use the word "move...")

"(Linux Mint)" user, what if this is a specific Linux issue.
We arre MS and mac user here, we cant help you or test anything then we are not a linux O'S. ( there is so many post with disk write error, i assume you have read them, this is why you should ask linux own master, what if they can bring new information to the subject, and that's why, again ask own expert's from own OS could matter.

Ask steam Linux own group forum.

Dont forget if you emulating windows in top of this then you also have all them issue in top of this. and again why Linux user could be the problem here, for lack of knowledge,
and why you need a guru/expert from linux to look at it.

And again raise the issue linux user emulating windows is the problem here.
