Steam Voice Chat Audio Cutting Out

Hi.

I've recently been using a Blue Snowball ICE to voice chat in Steam, however my friends have notified me that the audio is constantly cutting out mid-setence to the point where it's almost impossible to make out what i'm saying. I went in Steam Voice setting and tested it myself and I can hear the cutting out.

- Additional Information (Things I Have Tried)

I have tested the microphone in other programs such as Audacity and it works fine.
Talking louder into the microphone does not fix the problem.
Configuring the Levels in Control Panel>Sound does nothing.

It's definitely a problem with Steam and not my microphone settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

i am having a very similar problem with my same mic but with streaming tf2.

This post is almost 6 months old. I just switched to Skype instead of using Steam's in-game voice chat function and that some-what solved the problem.
