Use of an American Express gift card on steam

Hello, I have a question,

I wanted to buy a game on steam but I did not have steam cash, so I went to the store to buy a steam card and they did not have it, so instead I got an American Express gift card. I was wondering if here was any way that I could use it to buy steam cash?

When i scroll a bit down i see something about the american express card although i don't really understand how you wuold use it.

I can't find anything about that card so i'm afraid you can't use that.

Thanks for the helpful information, I was on that page (the link you gave me) and it did not say anything about American Express.

Ah i understand now.
Go to Hayden's link:http://store.steampowered.com/steamaccount/addfunds
Then click the right amount of fund you want to add.
And as payment option you can choose American express.
Then just folow the steps.

Isn't that what you were asking? If not you can buy games directly through the store, but if it is a pre[aid debit card you may have issues.

A. Buy a game directly from the Steam store, or
B. Add funds to your steam wallet to later spend on games or market items

Pre-paid cards are often problematic. I use an AmEX credit (not debit) card on Steam so I know AmEX works.

I do not suggest using pre-paid debit cards. In addition to being a ripoff (fees, lack of protections/support, no rewards) they also have trouble on some internet sites like Steam. Due to the high amount of attempted credit card fraud on Steam, they take a couple extra measures to verify the billing name and info that you submit is the same that the card issuer has on file. Since prepaid cards don't have that info by default purchases can often fail. Most card companies will allow you to contact the number on the back of the card for you to attach your billing info to the card.

In all honesty, in the future, your best bet would really be to just go to a local store and use the prepaid card to buy a Steam gift card if that is an option for you.

Then just go to the storepage of Broforce.
Add it to cart.
Click "purchase for myself"
Select payment method "american express" from the dropdown menu.
Then fill in the entire form.
Fill in the card number, expiration date, your name your address just everything and then continue.
I cannot test it further myself because i don't have an american express card but i think steam should do the rest.

If this does not work i cannot help you, i'm sorry.
i have never done this before so i have no experience with it.
