Screenshot or .scr virus?
One of my friends was sending me a screenshot, it seemed to be a jpg but I think it was a .scr
This was downloaded with my steam browser, is this browser safe or might my pc be infeected now with some virus!?!

I did a run with security essentials but it doesnt find anything... But still im afraid my computer is infected... :(

It doesn't have to be a lasting virus, if it cleans up after itself. Try changing passwords just to be on the safe side... After scanning thoroughly.

Thanks guys,

At first my pc looked clean with the just installed malwarebytes scan with wifi disabled, but after I went online and the malwarebytes was updated I got 2 files marked as Spyware.OnlineGames.
Malwareebytes was able to remove those files and as im already using steamguard im safe now right?

No such thing as 100% safe, but that's another story.

If you're not sure then change your password. Then you're relatively safe unless it was a keylogger but malwarebytes would detect something like that.

EVERYTIME I bump my trade on CS GO Lounge, I always get atleast 1 scammer bot sending me a link like that. If you're afraid your going to accidentally click the link, you should try and switch to using firefox (unless you already are), because when you download something on firefox it asks you "What should firefox do with this file?" and you can choose to cancel or save it. With chrome, it just automatically downloads the file on to your PC. Also remember AVG Anti Virus 2015 is free, and it works very well for me, so I suggest that too.

As long as you don't open the .scr file thing, it's all right, it can't do anything.
