Dark Souls PTDE
I have been playing Dark Souls PTDE since it was released on GFWL. However, I stopped playing for a while, dropped my Gold subscription, and my PC OS screwed up and I got a new one and reset essentially all my local data, erasing my Dark Souls progress. I have been trying to run the game for a few days now, and it either crashes or will permanently stay in offline mode.

Can anyone:

a) Give me a straight solution - i.e. allows me to access online mode and thus save my progress without buying gold (I spent 10 minutes on hold to tech support, they told me that, I hung up and am now selling my Xbox 360 as well)

b) Give me a way to potentially delete Dark Souls PTDE from my Steam Library so I can re-purchase it and play it straight through Steam.

c) Give me some other form of solution.

Thanks,

PPOTS (Matt)

GfWL doesn't require gold for anything since 2008. All features and service are free since then.

Here is your solution:

Doesn't require a single cent and removes GfWL and replaces it with Steamworks.

I have the retail version. I can't connect to GFWL, it doesn't exist. Am currently installing PTDE with the dsptde 2.0 beta enabled in properties. Will update when I know the result.
