My solution was getting them to ship me a replacement headset that I know is actually compatible with the PC. It's the 720+ PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 & PC version. It comes with the standalone converter box that gives you the surround sound and as such doesn't require their dumb software.
Oh and a word to the wise, do a thorough search for any reminents of their software. I had to dig for like an hour to fully remove all the things that the software either changed or placed on my computer. All kinds of drivers and setting changes.
Good luck dude, it cost me an extra $20 to ship it back to them, and they wouldn't cover the cost.
In microphone properties (inside recording devices) go to improvements and check disable all supplements.
