What exactly does it say for the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary entry?
The European version only has English, French, German, Italian and Spanish language options.
But I never used it, isn't english just more comfortable in games?
Having checked my own (UK) copy of Skyrim, I have all 9 languages as options. I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to think "Yeah, we'll let people in the UK choose Czech or Polish as a language option if they want but people from the Czech Republic or Poland who actually speak those languages can only pick from English, French, German, Italian or Spanish"
Regardless of what country code I enter on Skyrim's store page, it always lists all 9 languages as supported...so that begs the question:
What languages are in the list that you can choose from? And (if you know) where's your friend from?
My friend is from Czech Republic, and so am I, but if I received digital key from him (not a steam gift directly), I would suspect he bought it on G -- . -- 2 . -- . A. I guess.
These languages are available:
English
French
Italian
German
Spanish
Japanese
Traditional chinese
Mentioned above.
I have absolutely no problem playing games in English, and Skyrim is no exception, yet sometimes it's just more comfortable to switch to the native language of Yours, isn't it? :-)
I don't get the point of the whole "regional" thing .. it's just nonsense, as someone mentioned above.
That's really great, isn't it? So You receive a gift of a game copy, but You don't have all the languages the game really supports, and because You already own the copy, You're not able to rebuy it and none will give those languages to You.
You can ask support to remove your current version to replace it with a proper european copy. Which you would need to buy.
