Suspicious link
Hello guys. I'm writing this, because yesterday, one of my friends sent me a suspicious link, along with the message: wow bro, i won a bet on lounge !!! YEAAAH !!! see my returns :P i can share something to you I wanted to know if you knew anything about it, and could tell me if i should be worried or not. Also, being the idiot i am, i opened the link, because it came from one of my really good real life friends, and when i got into the link, it downloaded something that looked like a screenshot. (in the download bar, google chrome). Also, when i opened it, i realized that something had sent that exact message to all the people on my friend list. Now i scanned my computer with AVG, Malwarebytes, Superantispyware and Spybot, but they didn't seem to find anything. Also, i changed password and security questions for my steam and email. Additionally, i removed all access to my steam account, except my own computer. I feel like that's about all i can do, but I'm still not sure, whether it was a keylogger or just a simple thing, that sent out the link. Therefore i write this to you, hoping that you can help me further. Is it safe to log into my steam account? Or is there more to do?
Hope you can help me :)

It's a known malware circulating Steam. I think that as long as you deleted the file, you should be fine. Here's a link about someone analyzing the code of the malware. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/250771-steam-hacked/page-3#entry3438693
It basically trades your items using the cookies on your PC.

Oh okay, thanks. Thought for a second that it was a keylogger :) Also the skins were worth like 6$ So its no big deal, glad i didn't spend any money on the game :D

Well the thread you sent me says, that it's not a keylogger, so i'm a lot more calm now. :)

idk what to do, but the next time u get a suspicious message, DON'T OPEN IT!!!!!!! Also, report the sender of trying to hijack your account

I've started reporting all senders. You all know those CSGO or Dota2 trading sites right? This time, whenever I post a trade, random accounts auto-adds me and when I accept them, they'll send suspicious links. Most of them have their profiles set to "private". So all I do is "never click links" and then report them from suspected scamming. Please do this to minimize their count.

Also, if someone says they will give u something good fore ur good item, MAKE THEM DO IT FIRST OR DONT DO IT!!!!!! The reason to do that is bacaus ehe may be trying to steal from you, while usung their good item for bait.
