1 unread chat message notficication won't go away

i have a notification for an unread chat message, but when i click on it the message comes up as unknown and the notification for it won't go away. any idea on how to get rid of it?

Did you try clicking on the read all link?

If you have the chat windows open, close it before clicking the notification. If it still doesn't dissapear, tell some friend to send you a message when you are disconnected. Then reconnect and try again the first solution. When I get notifications stuck, they usually dissapear after receiving another notification of the same type.

Also, try getting rid of it in a browser rather than the Steam client/app.

Yep, same here. I guess it's because the new chat works differently.

Unfriend any users that you have blocked. Blocking does not unfriend them automatically.
