Trying to Purchase Don't Starve Together
Hey there, I want to buy Don't Starve Together for a friend and it won't let me. I can't select to buy it as a gift because it says I already have it (Which I do). I don't see anywhere on the page how to purchase it outside of the packages they provide. I'm probably being super dumb with this, but I would appreciate some help!

Do you already have one "copy" of the game available to gifting? I checked on a game that I own, and the problem does not exist with that game. Dont own Dont starve together though, so I cant check that one, sorry.

I had bought the pack before and had already given the gift one to a friend, which he accepted. So I don't understand why it's not letting me buy another gift option...

When you scroll down (below the "Already in your Library, select Play" banners) on the store page you should see the option to add it to your cart again.

Then on check out you just have to select buy as a gift.

That's the problem though, it won't let me do that. The options for purchase as a gift or for myself aren't selectable.

Are you trying to buy a multi pack? Most of the time 2 and 4 packs, etc. cannot be bought as gifts, you will have to buy just the base games if you want to do that.

I am, but that's only because I don't see where you can buy just Don't Starve Together by itself. Usually there's a Buy Now button, but I only see where you can purchase the two packs

Oddly enough, the "Frontier Pack" doesn't appear to be purchasable as a gift.

But the MEGA pack can...

Well the frontier pack came with a gift copy, which I already bought and gave to another friend. But I had wanted to buy another friend a copy as well, and I can't. I just want one gift copy lol

For some reason the game Dev doesn't want people to buy more than two copies. Go to the game forum for Don't Starve Together and say something there, perhaps the Dev might eventually have a change of heart about it.

There have been more than a few people who have come here for the reason you did so I had a look at the forums, and that's where I found out not being able to get extra copies was the dev's plan...but there wasn't an explanation. Maybe it is a strange attempt to be exclusive, or, maybe he doesn't want everyone to have it before it is out of Early Access. Search the forum there if you really want to know more. Otherwise, just consider the dev to be an odd duck.
