When buying a game, steam removes my current wallet funds, but still charges full price
When I bought a game I had a small amount of funds in my wallet already. After purchasing the game I noticed steam charged me full price for the game, but didn't lower the price with my current wallet funds. Instead I lost all my funds. Why is this? Anybody else tried this?

The receipt will show the funding sources for the purchase.

Steam uses your Steam wallet funds first. If the price of your games is more than your Steam wallet has it'll charge your second method of payment for the rest (credit card, etc).

So, if you have $2 in your Steam wallet and you buy a game that's $10, it'll take the $2 from your Steam wallet then charge your credit card the remaining amount.

If you don't want Steam to use your Steam wallet money you can change the method of payment when you checkout. It's the final screen that shwos your mailing address. Change the method of payment that's above your address.

Thing is guys, I checked my steam account purchases, says still 9,99. I admit it wasn't much in my wallet, only 0,32 which was all from trading cards, backgrounds etc. But I just find it odd and it's not first time I've tried this. I take it happens because its less then 1 euro?

You're still going to be charged the full price. If the game is $9.99 then that's going to be the total but you should see two different methods of payments in your receipt: Steam wallet, then secondary payment.

Okay, so basicly if I have less than 1 euro etc it'll just vanish then if I have the steam wallet funds added? I've removed the option now from the store thing, so it won't happen in the future.
And here's the receipt: 27. dec 9,99€ Køb The Long Dark
Or am I misunderstanding you?

Whn looking at the steam store receipt you got by email (most likely with the subject line "Thank you for your purchase") It should show your payment methods used under the total amount paid.
For example:
Postal 2 Complete
0.99 EUR

Total:
0.99 EUR

Payment Info:

PayPal
0.79 EUR
Steam Wallet
0.20 EUR
