HELP ME PLEASE!! STEAM.EXE IS CORRUPTED! (ALSO THE STEAM FILES ARE CORRUPTED/UNREADABLE)
I tried launching steam through the desktop shortcut, and an error pops out at the bottom saying " Steam.exe - Corrupt file " and theres a pop out saying " steam needs to be online to be update. Please confirm your network connection and try again ". The program files is not accessible for me due to it being " corrupted or unreadable ".

Is there any way to get my steam up and running back without reinstalling all of my games? I am clueless now on what to do, please help me!

you can copy your common folder to a different place on your HDD then uninstall/re-install steam. Then bring the common folder you saved back. Then all you have to do is install the games on steam, it will then see that you already have the game downloaded and youre good to go.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
