Black Ops II problem :(

I buyed a !LEGAL! copy of COD:BO2. But I buyed it 2 years ago xP and I decided to install it. To play online, what I want to do, I need to have it on steam. But I need a key wich doesn't work. Yes, I checked it. To be honest, maybe 50 times. I think it's already redeemed but thats impossible. So I gave up. Campaign etc. works, but I installed it for online. What now? Do I have it to buy it again in the shop? I don't want to, because this copy costed me roughly $50. Please help me, or can I do something in game to link it to my account so I can play multiplayer? Help plz, even if it's dumb, I'll appriciate (dat English failor <--).

So you got it 2 years ago and never tried to play it online on steam until now? Are you even sure you can add it to steam?

Only this format can be added to steam. If you are sure it's a version that can be added you could contact steam support but after 2 years im not sure what they can do, its more likely you have to take it back to where you got it from or contact 3rd party support.

Steam is the only place on PC where BO2 can be activated and played on.
