steam store videos mute by default
I know the videos are mute by default, but is there a way to put the sound on as the new default option in the settings, so me and others using this computer can hear the sound when we use steam in big pictures mode.

After playing around a bit; yes it is possible.
Simply go to a page under a Steam account (when logged in) and untick the Autoplay box pn a video. Then set the volume to where u want. Now when u refresh the page, try the videos again. While the autoplay won't be on, the volume you've set should now be in-effect under changed.

Thanks for your help, i've tried looking on google, but all it showed was how to just turn on the volume each time by hovering over the player and clikc on the mute/unmute button....

Yea I think that to avoid an annoyance of sorts; the volume is auto-muted whenever Auto-Play is enabled. So those two obviously go hand-in-hand with how Steam pages work for general viewing purposes. Thanks for pointing this out, I never really payed any attention to it before now.

It would be good to have personal settings. I'm not sure if they're really needed, though.
