Most EA games for Origin are not on sale on Steam. But some, like the Alice game, you can register the CD Key on Origin and add it there too. It varies by game.
If you buy some games that require Steam, like Skyrim, on one of the other services, you will have to register it on Steam to play.
It is not an automatic system. And whether or not the same game can be, or has to be, registered on any of the platforms varies by game.
2. The newer Ubisoft games require uPlay. You would run the game from Steam, through uPlay.
3. No.
By the way, you can't buy Battlefield 4 on Steam. EA does not sell it on Steam.
Mass Effect 1&2 can be activated on Origin.
Thanks for all the replies guys and gurls! Really helped me alot!
Except... EA run "On the house" on Origin. Every now and then, you get an EA game for free. It's quite nice.
Also, check out indie bundles, subscribe to the indie bundles Steam community group. You'll get news on cheap indie bundles, like one friggin' dollar for 5 awesome indie games.

A word of warning. An advantage of the PC is that you can run every software you want. This is a disadvantage as well, if you install a virus, it will steal all your Steam inventory stuff and get you into further trouble, like Stealing your account and getting you a VAC ban. So use your common sense. Like "A stranger wants me to run a program", it's similar to "A stranger offers me a weird-looking bottle". Don't take it.
