Need help! on mods for the camera..New to Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
Hello, I am a new to Elder Scrolls Skyrim V.. There is no camera settings at all I see and i cannot play like this! it is driving me crazy as I am trying to just figure out how to play this game lol. I subscribed to this one created Customizable Camera by Arindel's Workshop, but I have no clue how to make the mods work?? I never had to deal with this problem on the other games I play like Lotro and Aion. I am a Noob to mods, how do I install this for it to work for me. ? I seen it downloaded after I subscribed but it is not showing in the settings for me after I restarted the client at all, so I guess I have to insert this somewhere in a folder? how do I do this.. Thanks for anyone who knows how to do this... Merry Christmas ;)

You'd probably get more help from the Skyrim forum on modding. But as i know, when you download a mod from the workshop for Skyrim the mod auto loads into the game. Sometimes it takes a few restarts though. I personally scrapped using the Steam Workshop and opted for the Nexus Mod Manager and mod my Skyrim from that. As it is, there are ways to modify camera angles without mods in Skyrim. I can only do it with an XBOX controller though...so if you're using a keyboard you can Google how to adjust camera angles in Skyrim with keyboard.

Also make sure to carefully read ALL mod requirements and usage instructions when loading. It's very possible you're missing something required to make the mod work.

Hi. Yeah it would not let me post my comment there.lol Thanks for the help, it sounds like i need that Nexus mod manager for it to work.. Tried rebooting several times and so far nothing loading, and yeah I have the pc verison so I know it is different. I cannot even get my arrow keys to work for me in game unless I am in the options. I have tried every way to adjust the camera but there is no setting for it at all! I like having the camera behind my shoulders in stead of way in front of me where I can not see anything I am doing lol.. Thanks for the info ;)

Sorry, I wasn't clear, I use an Xbox controller with my PC. There are ways to adjust the camera from 1st person to 3rd person on PC and then the distance from your char in 3rd person. I do it all the time when playing. Does the mod say it requires SKSE or SkyUI to work or anything. This mod sounds like it most likely would require one of those to work....most likely SkyUI.

yes I believe it does I see the creator mentions that in the description... that some people will need to have that for it to work.. lol I know nothing about it all.. I have a game controller somewhere packed away and I may have to try and find it also.. I have never played a game so far that did not have a built in camera controls lol .. But then again I am new to Elder Scrolls..

I downloaded a free version of the Nexus mod manager and it is scanning my computer now.

You get over-the-shoulder camera when you steathe? the weapon. I'm "pretty" sure Nexus has some simple mod that moves the camera to this position with drawn weapon without any configuration.

SKSE is the must, followed by SkyUI (and unofficial patches). And if you just want to change FOV, enter the ~ console and type "fov #" (DOESN'T DISABLE ACHIEVEMENTS).

After NMM finds Skyrim, cancel everything else. There's no point in scanning for other games anyway.

I am looking for a free version of the skyUI or the SKSE that you mentioned. I have never working with any mods at all before and all this is new to me as what to do and hopefully correctly.. Thanks for your help.. what is fov # ? lol .. as for playing I am use to playing where I can zoom in and out away from my toon and see myself and my surroundings and behind me and be able to turn around with my arrow keys, it is messing me up trying to just get though the beginning scene. For me, if I cannot see myself I have no idea what I am doing and if I even have a weapon yet or not.. reading on how to use these buttons for skills but I really want to scream right now lol as I have never played in full screen mouse look style and I do not like that at all and want to be able to play it where I am comfortable instead of feeling like I can not see what the hell I am doing.. I like being able to zoom in and out at will.. Thanks for the help ;)
