Steam Launching random games from my library running without me ever launching them. (No it's not someone on my account)
Since few months ago, each time I log into my steam account it would always say that I'm playing a random game from my steam library without me ever launching it. At first I thought someone had hacked into my account but when I restart the steam client it would go back to normal. Now, even if I do restart the client, my account would be set to offline mode, and when I sign in, it would show my account as if I'm currently playing a game. Some help would be appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is Family Share being used on your account. Go to Steam in the upper left corner of the client, then settings, then family, and see if there are any account names in the 'share eligible accounts' box. If nothing is in the box then that isn't the problem.

Does your task manager say the game is running? At least you know if your computer thinks it is running too. This is a really strange problem.

You could try refreshing steam files:

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling steam.

Actually, now that I check my computers default task manager, it did have the borderlands 2 launcher running. Btw sorry about that, I have process lasso installed so I use that instead.

Have you checked your computer for virus' and malware? Games shouldn't start up by themselves. But see if working on/reinstalling the Steam client fixes it.
