Do these steps to be sure:
- Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
- Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
- Change your password on a secure device.
- Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
- Revoke the api key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey
Thank you. I have done all this. I'll see now if it works. And even if it doesn't, I think it was healthy for my pc. I found two hidden bitcoin miners on my pc after the malware scan.
The automatic system shouldn't be closing the request without an answer whether it was approved or denied. Tickets, messages you manually type to Steam Support, have to be closed by a human. Sometimes a human will close a support ticket without replying to it.
Sometimes it takes a while, up to a few days, for refunded funds to appear in our wallet or back in to our bank account. It depends on how the product was originally purchased. If a bank account was used that bank's policies apply. Some bank policies hold refund deposits for up to 14 days. That's something you'll have to check on with your bank if you used a bank account.
and as Zukabazuka point out, steam see no point reply with comment on anything.
Also true. There's about an 80/20 chance anymore that when we submit a support ticket it's answered by a person who took the time, effort, and care to actually type a reply instead of ignoring it and just closing it or copy/pasting a scripted reply that makes little or no sense and isn't relevant to the issue we're trying to get addressed....because the person was too lazy and didn't care to read what we typed.
Read a few words, close it.
Or read a few words, paste a reply from the script, close it.
Be terrified by the amount of text trying to explain the situation, close it.
Steam's service used to be awesome. It's starting to suck.
Because people suck.
Glad I found out about it then, I think my problem is solved. I followed all of Crazy Tigers tips and issued a new refund, and it hasn't been canceled after 3 hours.
