Steam Wallet Code Invalid?..

I bought two 20$ steam wallet codes yesterday, both codes on one receipt, not a card. I bought the code from a canadian store called EB games, which is a reliable scource for buying codes. I tried entering in my wallet codes, but neither of them work. Since there's two I hardly think I'm mistyping both of them. I've tried logging out, restarting computer, going ona different computer, etc.

Any tips would be useful, thanks!

What's the error you get when you try to redeem? Could just be Steam is busy with the sale going on.

Okay, so that's not a Steam is busy error. Are you absolutely certain you are typing it exactly as it appears? You're not mistaking the letter O for a zero, or leaving out any dashes and such?

When i tried to redeem mine it says "An unexpected error has occurred. Your code could not be redeemed at this time.
Please contact Steam Support."

I'm fairly certain, I've tried many times, and I have redeemed wallet codes in the past before.

Yea, After around 10 times of trying it said
"An unexpected error has occurred. Your code could not be redeemed at this time.
Please contact Steam Support."
But, I assume that's just because I was overdoing it.

I imagine there has to be a limit to how many times you can try to redeem before they lock you out for a time. However TheOnlyZii, if you got that message on the first try, that usually does mean Steam is just busy. I would wait a little while and try again.

First time I tried was at around 8:30 pm last night, then around 3:00 am, then at 1:30 am today

"The wallet code you entered is invalid." is what I'm getting, I just checked again.

The invalid message is a problem, as it should only appear if the code is already redeemed or is being typed incorrectly. You most likely will have to contact Steam, possibly EB Games.

Okay, I found the problem, I called the store, and it turns out I've been given a Sony Wallet Code, instead of a steam wallet code, the cashier made a mistake. I will be going in tonight to get a proper steam code.
