Is my computer compatitible with Grand Theft Auto IV?
I'm really bad at determining this. Is my laptop compatible with Grand Theft Auto IV? The requirements for Grand Theft Auto IV are
OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / Windows XP - Service Pack 3
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4GHz
Memory: 1.5GB XP / 1.5GB Vista
Graphics: 256MB Nvidia 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c Compliant Card
Hard Drive: 16GB of Hard Disc Space
Sound Card: 5.1 Channel Audio Card

My laptop stats are
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz 2.30GHz
Installed memory: (RAM): 6.00 GB (5.89 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Pen and Touch: Full Windows Touch Support with 10 Touch Points

It would be really appreciated if somebody could help me out with this! Thanks! :D

CPU and RAM are ok, but what graphics card do you have?

How do you check that?
Fastest way to do that is right-click on the desktop, then select "Screen resolution" and click on "Advanced settings". There you will see your Adapter type.

Just found it

Adapter String: Intel (R) HD Graphics 4400

Total Available Graphics Memory: 1792 MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 32MB

Well, to be honest, GTA IV is poorly optimized for PC and your integrated HD Graphics might not be good enough.

PC gamers usually know what a GPU they have, after all is the alpha and omega for gaming.
Intel HD is not a really a gaming card, its a integrated card under the CPU more suitable for home media. But since you have a laptop, upgrade is not possible.

It should run though most titles on low settings, GTA 4 included, unless the game wasn't optimized just for Radeons or Geforce cards.
Though GTA 4 is a bad console port and it runs bad on every system, high-end included. You should have rather got Saints Row 3.

I didn't get it yet. I wanted to ask before I made a mistake. Good thing huh?

Also I've been looking at the Hitman games. I'm assuming that the one selling for $3.99 won't be suitable for my laptop right? But what about the one released in 2006?
The requirements are:

System Requirements
MINIMUM:
Microsoft Windows® 2000/XP (Windows 95/98/ME/NT Not Supported)
Pentium 4 1.5Ghz or Athlon XP Equivalent
512MB RAM
100% DirectX 9.0c compatible video card which supports Hardware TnL and Pixel Shader 2.0 (GeForce FX / Radeon 9500 or higher)
100% DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card
5.0GB free disk space
100% Windows 2000/XP compatible Mouse and Keyboard (Gamepads and controller are not supported)

RECOMMENDED:
Pentium 4 2.4Ghz or Athlon XP/64-bit equivalent
1024MB RAM
ATI X800 series, Nvidia GeForce 6800 series or higher video card
100% DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card, Sound Blaster X-Fi series
5.0GB free disk space
You can run older Hitman games just fine.
