Why Cant i play ETW or NTW online????

I've had this game for a couple of years and everytime i go to ETW or NTW online to play against other players it wont allow me to join in any battles. Ive tried re-installing both games, and my steam is always up-to-date. idk what i have to do to be able to play online but i would really apprechiate some help in doing so. if anyone could help me please let me know, Thank you
