Wallet Currency(CND) Not Matching Location(USD)
I am currently in the southern US for the holidays when I try making a purchase with my steam wallet I get the following message.

Your purchase could not be completed because it looks like the currency of funds in your Steam Wallet does not match the currency of this purchase.

A couple of months backs Steam forced a currency change on my account to CND against my protest to leave it as USD. Now that I am in the US all the pricing is in USD and my wallet is full of CND funds.

If I go through Steam support it will take several days before they respond to a ticket, so does anyone know if there a way to use my steam wallet funds for purchases without using any form of proxy or vpn?

Upvote for this. It's unacceptable for steam to convert our wallet to any currency and then restricted it to use only in that country.

I travel and move around a lot, currently study in UK and possibly move to Netherlands or US net year. I have around $600 worth of wallet+items in my account and yet I can't buy anything in store because my currency is in THB. Steam support said you need to pay by paypal or cards while you're not in the country. That's not acceptable ! Absolutely a lockdown of your wallet fund, our money that we put in.

Managed to find a work around this problem but it requires accessing the store from a web browser instead of the steam client.

It is simple all that is required only just go to the main store page and adding the query ?cc=ca to the end store page URL where "ca" is the country code for Canada, this changes the currency to that of the country code provided. Then once the currency is the same as steam wallet you can make purchases.

Why this information is not made available by steam is beyond me.
