Steam forgot credit card
I've had a credit card associated with my Steam account since early October, and had it set to be remembered so I didn't have to enter it again. Sure enough, across many Steam purchases all I had to do was select how I was paying and click confirm.

Today, while trying to purchase some games, Steam required me to type out all the information again. In my usual paranoia I checked to make sure I hadn't been redirected to some other site, which I hadn't. Then I checked my account details, and noticed it didn't remember my credit card anymore.

I reentered the information as per the request, and the purchase went through fine. What I'm wondering is, first of all, did this happen to anyone else? And secondly, was it something I did, so I can avoid doing it in the future?

Thanks.

Did you clear your cookies? That makes Steam forget a lot of stuff.

I did in fact clear them not too long ago, but I would hope Steam isn't silly enough to store something as sensitive as my credit card details in a cookie. Thanks for the response though.

Most of the time people have to redo their payment info, they have cleared cookies. The payment info might not be on the cookie, just 'remember last payment method'. If the cookies are cleared, so is the command to remember. I am just guessing, because it *would* be really stupid to put your info in a cookie.

Hmm, that makes sense I suppose. I'll have to be more careful with Steam cookies, it's a real pain in the butt filling out all the fields. Okay, thanks again for the responses, it's appreciated.
