People getting a link to google drive that has a file with virus

Is Valve going to address this? I'd like my account to stop sending my friends these messages. From what I understand it's a means to allow someones account to be hacked. I've run Malware Bytes 'thorough' scan, Spybot Search and Destroy and it picks up nothing. I don't know what to do because I'll get out of a game and notice it sent another message to someone. Something like... Haha look at this funny screenshot of you and I playing together... with a link attached.

same here matey besides the fact i send get a link to the russian steampowered. My entire friend list got spammed.... that's damn ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ valve if your own site hacks peoples pc's

If your account is doing that, your computer is infected with malware and possibly more. Run your antivirus and an antimalware like malwarebytes, then change your steam and email passwords. Valve can't stop people clicking links unless they take links out of chat completely.

*waves arms* No it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! steam site not some lookalike. If it was then the cite has the same cetifikate as the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam site has.

Creating fake login sites is a advanced form of pishing. And nothing better as manually typing in your login info. Thats where the "you are screwed" begins.
Although I have very little knowledge about creating websites, but regarding the graphic design, as a Photoshop professional, I could make a 99% same looking copy inside like 2-3 hours.
Naturally I would never do that, not even for some heavy €€€.
