Im curious which games Im not able run on ULTRA ? Thanks
http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience
Suggest you use that, add your game folders and scan. Then apply optimal settings.
Most games will happily run on high/ultra at 1440p. That software will calculate the best performance settings for highest quality, but still smooth gameplay. You can then tweak those according to your own liking, it's a good starting point. Plus offers some extras.
Under Geforce Experience you might notice higher resolutions with DSR labeled next to it. This will force the game to run at even higher resolutions than your monitor can handle, the graphics card will then downsample it to what your monitor supports (keeping the sharper edges and more details).
Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR)

Some games might not work well using this, in which case, just go back into it's settings and set the resolution back to native/standard resolution to disable DSR. However, for those that run fine on it, enjoy even better graphics!
At 1080p, the GTX 980 is overkill. So make use of DSR where possible. 1440p is optimal for gaming still at high/ultra on that card.
Also, Factory upgrade to SSD, they probably tacked on a 300-400% markup on that...
