Got all my items stolen (account hacked!)

Hi all,

recently I was sent a link on Steam by a friend. I was stupid enough to click it and it automatically sent the link to all of my friends with the message: "hi dude, here ? see (link was here)". That is the link/virus I was sent. It sent it too all my friends and the next day all my items were gone from my inventory. Plus 10 people unfriended me because of it.

I really don't know what to do. I tried contacting Steam support but it sends me a confirmation code to my old email which I do not use anymore. So I have no way of actually contacting Steam support.

I had about 5-10 pounds worth of CSGO weapons on my account which took months to acquire and they are all gone now. I don't know what to do and I am now sad.

Have you tried registering a support account with your current email? Or if you mean they are sending confirmation after opening a ticket, explain you don't have access to that email and they should ask for information to confirm it's really you (credit card, purchase history, etc.)

I tried doing that but it gives me this: "Please confirm your account by following the instructions in your welcome email. If you have not received the welcome email you can have it resent. (and my old email here)" It doesn't send it to my current email, but to my old one. How can I contact them? whenever I try to cantact Steam support I get asked to confirm that it is me through my old email.

Ye i lost my items to i dont even know how he just sended me a friend request that´s all he did then like 10-20 minutes later i lost all my items excpt some worthless cases... PLEASE HELP yeye it´s ♥♥♥♥♥♥ skins but who cares they are my skins... The guy´s name that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over is koHbKu...

Did he send you a link, which you clicked? Did you then enter your Steam details, or download anything from that link?

Just to be clear, when you try to register an account on this page, you are entering your new email like this[www.imagesup.net]? And it is sending confirmation to your old email? That shouldn't be possible, Steam doesn't know what the old email is unless you give it to them...

Scan your computer for viruses and malware, change your password and email password, and enable SteamGuard if you haven't already.

Exact same thing happened to me man... I opened the link and it sent me to a picture with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CSGO meme.

Steam's policy is that they will not return items. However if you ask politely, you have secured your computer, and this is the first time this has happened, they may make a one time exception. No guarantees.

You must have clicked the link download the file and opened it. You cant get "hacked" just from clicking the link in steam chat.

I don't see why it matters how we got hacked. I just want my ♥♥♥♥ back, I worked for months trying to get that.
