Gems and Bid page gone from top of store page?

Why is the thing gone. I placed a bid of 45000 gems on one game and if it is gone I will be p*ssed. Or is it just me?

Edit: All gems seem to be gone from inventory so way may have to start from scratch.

I heard there was some gem duping glitch that was being exploited by a lot of people, so that might explain the abrupt shutdown of the event.

Apparently the people who did it got steam community banned. One of the guys had over 1 billion gems.

Your 5 dollars won't be wasted, the event is to resume as normal once the cheating issue is resolved.
