Any Steam Store purchases default to using your Steam Wallet first. Even if it's only a few cents, it will consume it and then you'll pay the remainder with what ever payment method you chose.

Any Buy orders open that complete may also consume your Wallet funds.

and i don't have any active buy orders

Have you set up buy orders in the market?

When you buy an item on the Market you can set a price to buy an item at. If the price of that item drops to your buy order price it will automatically buy it. You can see buy orders by clicking Market and anything you have listed will be under "My buy orders".

You can check any purchases made here:
https://store.steampowered.com/account/store_transactions

The exact details on the purchase, including any Wallet Funds used, would be in the emailed receipt you get upon purchase.

Edit:
Like so:

Total:
10.04 USD
Payment Info:

Credit Card
6.16 USD
Steam Wallet
3.88 USD

You should make sure no one else has access to your account then. As someone may be buying them using your account, compromised through some phishing attempt.

You can go to your Steam settings menu, under account, and manager you Steam Guard, you can choose to Deauthorize all other computers and change your password as a preventitive measure.
