Download issues

My steam downloads are taking forever bc of some issue where it downloads for a little bit and then it stops and downloads a little bit and then stops, only started happening with a new hard drive so I'm thinking it could be that but im not sure what to do here

Honestly, I've had a similar issue, and dont understand why. Some games download small amounts at a time, then other games download the whole game within a reasonable timeframe. I have no clue why, the same game on a different platform downloads perfectly fine.

Only you have the clue whats going on at that pc, free storage space issue to pc is busy with other things, is it in idle mode, ( no windows update or or crazy idea thats use pc atm, rest is do you have the isp bandwide into own ISP, or do you have own ISP into steam issue, you can try switch steam DL zone, but will not help you if its your own ISP you cant get pass as first connection per internet router.
