Infinitely Repeating "Verifying"
I've been trying to download some games and every time I try it gets to the verification part of the download but once it reaches 100 it just resets itself back to before the verification and says "Resume" on the download button. How can I fix this?

Experiencing issues with downloading games on Steam can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

Restart Steam: Sometimes, simply restarting the Steam client can resolve temporary glitches or issues.

Check your Internet connection: Ensure that your Internet connection is stable and not experiencing any interruptions. You can try running a speed test to check the quality of your connection.

Clear Download Cache: In Steam, go to Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache. This can sometimes resolve download issues caused by corrupted cache files.

Change Download Region: Steam allows you to change your download region. Sometimes, switching to a different download region can improve download speeds and stability. Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads > Download Region, and try selecting a different location.

Disable Background Applications: Background applications or software might interfere with Steam's downloading process. Close unnecessary applications and try downloading again.

Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Your firewall or antivirus software may be blocking Steam from downloading properly. Make sure that Steam and its associated services are allowed through your firewall, and temporarily disable your antivirus software to see if it resolves the issue.

Verify Game Files: If you've already partially downloaded the game, try verifying the integrity of the game files. Right-click on the game in your Steam library, select Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Reinstall Steam: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reinstall Steam. Before doing so, make sure to back up any important game files or data.

If you're still encountering issues after trying these steps, you may want to reach out to Steam Support for further assistance. They can provide additional troubleshooting steps and help resolve the issue.
