Receiving a punishment because someone else have been cheating.
I received a message this morning saying one of my teammates have been cheating in game, and hence I have been punished. I have lost a lot of points on CS2. I dont know the people I played with, and for the ones we play together occasionally, we know each other and we dont cheat. If one of them have been cheating they wouldve received a ban which hasnt happened; and for the ones who have been cheating and I did notice I have always reported. I dont understand why should I be punished when its others, whom I dont know have been cheating. It doesnt even make sense.

the game was voided, so it does not count toward anything. you were not punished

I mean even those who claim to only have 200 years of game management experience are making more sensible decisions than this, you really need to sort yourselves out. Whoevers been cheating, whom I probably have reported, have been banned. What more do you expect me to do? If I abandon that game I prolly get a punishment of another sort as well. What about look at your system failing to filter out cheating players? I report players who have been cheating to improve the overall gaming experience for the community of the whole and I get punished in return; what about looking at compensating for my affected gaming experience and wasted time?

so you are saying you should be able to benefit from someone else's cheating?

would you prefer they ban your account as well as the cheaters?
should the people that lost that game (and the points) be left where they are?

they should have worded the notice you received better.

if you wish to complain or provide feedback about a game or a games anti cheat system, it is best to post in that games forum since that is where the developers are more likely to see your post and feedback.

Everything from the match is voided. That's how it works on all MP games.

There not much can do about it, the games you have been in with said cheater voided matches results, and this might be a good way to stop people from getting boosted with free wins, and such.

There are different ways to deal with this problem, depending on the context and the severity of the punishment. Here are some possible steps you can take:

Gather evidence that proves your innocence and exposes the cheater’s wrongdoing. This could include screenshots, messages, documents, witnesses, or anything else that supports your case.
Report the cheater to the relevant authority or person who can take action. This could be your teacher, boss, partner, or anyone else who has the power to investigate and resolve the issue.
Explain your situation clearly and calmly, without blaming or accusing anyone. Focus on the facts and the evidence, and avoid emotional arguments or personal attacks.
Ask for a fair and impartial hearing or review of your case. Request that the cheater be held accountable for their actions and that you be cleared of any wrongdoing.
Seek support from your friends, family, or a professional counselor. Dealing with this kind of situation can be stressful and upsetting, so it is important to have someone who can listen to you and offer you emotional support.

You seriously overestimate the value and worth of your gaming experience and time for anybody that is not you.

Yes, I'm sure you didn't know your friend was cheating.

You knew every person playing in that match and trust them with your life? You'd bet your life on that would you? Your funeral.

Yet. There may be an explanation you're avoiding to fully engage your confirmation bias.

If a match has been corrupted by cheating, it being set to a state akin to "No Contest" isn't some radical foreign idea. Regardless you may not always like the consequences in team based competitive games. But you can't expect to benefit from cheating if it happens on your own team. And depending on the circumstances, even if it was the other team, it might just be best for overall integrity of rankings and such for the match to be nullified. Sometimes your approval or disapproval of those decisions just doesn't mean anything outside your own head, and aren't the only things that matter.

Cheating sucks, and non-cheaters can be affected in a number of ways, which is why cheating sucks.

Take it up with the cheaters. The referees aren't responsible for your unhappiness.
