Visa gift card on steam store???

So i just bought a visa gift card, put 35 dollars on it and i wanted to buy some games, sadly, everytime i enter it in and click "Checkout" it says "An unexpected error has occured, please try again". Its really annoying, i've tried again, about 4 times and it wont work... is this a problem with the card, my account or my internet! HALP!

Is the Visa gift card you're using one of the ones where you register an address and phone number to it? Have you done that?

As well as what WhereIsBusmin has suggested, it might be worth contacting the place that the Visa gift card was purchased from, to ensure it can be used for online transactions.

im more than sure it can be used online, it said "Usuable Everywhere, Domestic Use Only"

Thanks, i didn't try that, silly me, i'v activated the card and im about to make the purchase... wish me luck!

I used two VISA gift cards during the exploratory black Friday sale, there is a phone number on those gift cards you can call and speak to a real person and they'll help you troubleshoot your transaction issues, owe during the exploratory sale I had to re-enter my card numbers several times tell my purchases went through.

... It didn't work, i don't know why, BTW its a Visa Vanilla Debit Card, idk if i can call the number on the back, ill try again in a minute.
