Browser defaults to... swedish?
No idea what language it is actually, but it looks nordic.

Any idea how to fix this? I'm dutch but generally use english, which is what my browser is set to, but the steam websites go in whatever language it's using now...

top bar reads;

BUTIKK SAMFUNN THUNDERKEIL OM STØTTE

Go to the upper right corner of the Steam webpage, where your account name is. Third option down is Language (in what ever langauge, but it's the third option). You can select from multiple language options. It lists the languages both in their language and in the current language, so you should be able to tell which one is English.

The Steam website has a habit of remembering the language selection, and if you click on links through the forums or through google from other users sometimes it sets the language based on that link.
Google Translate says it is Norwegian. I was directed to a German Steam link once and for ages my browser Steam was German. This is likely what happened, just change the language.

I did just open a guide I found through google, so I guess that explains it.

Thanks

If you are going to use the Steam website a lot, you might want to look into the Enhanced Steam plugin.
http://www.enhancedsteam.com/index.php

Among many other features, it has the option to set a default language and to keep that language, and warn you and provide links to quickly switch the language back if you ever get out of your default language. Specifically to correct this issue.
