Ping Virus?

Hi, Today I have been playing a ton of my steam games and I got done playing TF2 so I went to play some Garry's Mod. It took forever to load the servers and when it did there were only a few at a time that loaded with 1100 PING! I ususally have good connection usually 40 - 80 ping. I restarted steam, the game and tried other games and they worked fine except for this one. I then restarted my router and modem and still no luck. I then came here to see if this is a ping virus or what I can do to fix it.

Join a server and look what the ping says.

Look if there is a filter active. Maybe it only shows distant location.
