Gaming Laptop

Hello.

Im looking for a new gaming laptop, but i dont know what laptops are good, I know MSI and ASUS is good. I have about 1075 Euro's/ 1390 Dollars to buy for.

I want a laptop, who can play Battlefield 4 and skyrim on atleast high with more than 40 fps. It has to allow me to play all most all games for atleast 3 years.

Hope you guys can help me, to choose the rigth gaming laptop.

You should REALLY reconsider that

A 'gaming' laptop is a misnomer. You will be

1) Paying a gigantic premium 2-5x more than a typical laptop
2) All for the sake of portability
3) You could buy a reasonably priced laptop, and a killer desktop PC with easily 2x-3x the performance of your 'gaming' laptop for the price of a gaming laptop.

Unless you absolutely positively need the performance and portability (and I assure you 99% of people don't) get a decent laptop and spend the rest of the mony on a killer desktop rig instead

A gaming laptop is a luxury, and I don't recommend unless you absolutely need to drag your games arround. By a gaming laptop you pay 2x more for the same performance, it will wear out faster and cannot be upgraded.

From that rough 1000€ I would get:

- Z97 motherboard - MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, ASRock any of them is good
- Intel i5 CPU (1150 haswell) or i7 if you get a good price
- Coolermaster EVO 212 CPU cooler
- any 8GB XMP RAM 1600 or 1866 in 2x4GB KIT
- Geforce GTX 970 (EVGA for example)
- 240GB SSD for OS
- 2TB HDD 7200 rpm for games and stuff
- a good miditower case (Zalman, NZXT, Coolermaster)
- Windows 7 64 bit
- any HDMI/DVI compatible 24" monitor with good response time (2ms)
- any branded gaming mouse
- keyboard, 5.1 speakers

I have an MSi GE70. I've had it for almost two years. I really like it.

Check out xoticpc.com. That's where I got mine. You can customize it so it's not an all-or-nothing deal. You can choose your specs. With your budget you should be able to get a very good one.

what did you pay for yours ???

I've had the ASUS G75VW[www.amazon.com] with a GTX 660m since 2012 and it runs most games medium-high at 60fps @ 720p.

It's natively a 1920x1080p screen, I got an external 720p screen form ASUS for $90 and it runs games excellently at 720p.

You can pick up the newer model for about $1200 with the new GTX-860M card.

The newer model will definately run BF4 at medium-ultra@ 60fps and Skyrim on high-ultra at 60fps.
